Coffee Protein Bar vs. a Cup of Coffee: A Side-by-Side Look
STAT Bar TeamLast reviewed

A cup of coffee and a coffee protein bar can deliver the same caffeine. The differences are everything else. Here's an honest side-by-side.
Caffeine: even
A standard 8oz cup of brewed coffee contains roughly 90–100mg of caffeine, though the actual number varies by roast, brew method, and barista. A STAT Bar contains exactly100mg of natural caffeine, printed on the label — the same every time.
Protein: not close
Black coffee has essentially zero protein. STAT Bars carry 16-19g depending on flavor — Chocolate at 16g, Peanut Butter Espresso at17g, and Salted Caramel Coffee at19g — with 0g added sugar.
Logistics: the bar wins on the move
Coffee needs a machine, a line, or at minimum a mug — and it goes cold. A bar lives in your pocket, doesn't spill in a vehicle, and is done in ninety seconds between tasks.
Flavor: real coffee, not "coffee flavoring"
Two of our three flavors are built around actual coffee taste: espresso bite in the peanut butter bar, smooth coffee in the salted caramel. If you love coffee, you're not giving it up — you're carrying it.
When coffee still wins
The ritual. The warm mug. Nothing replaces that on a slow morning — and nothing says you have to choose. Many of our customers drink their first cup at home and carry a bar for the hours when a coffee run isn't happening.
